It's time to roll out Plan B in Charlotte.
The threat of bad weather is prompting a major change at the Democratic National Convention.
President Obama was supposed to accept his party's nomination tomorrow in an outdoor stadium, just like he did in Denver 4 years ago, but now convention planners are moving everything inside.
That means the speech will be going from a stadium that seats 74,000 to an arena with only 21,000 seats so a lot of the folks in Charlotte who were expecting to be at that speech will have to watch it on TV.
It doesn't change Pennsylvania's seats whose delegates will at least be dry.
"There is no path to President Obama winning without Pennsylvania," said Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan.
Mayor Callahan calls the Lehigh Valley the swing area of the swing state.
"We've got a decent lead right now, Democrats and the President in Pennsylvania. I have no doubt that it's going to tighten as time goes on which is going to make our efforts in the Lehigh Valley even more important," he said.
One of those efforts, Callahan says, is reaching out to those affected by the new Voter ID law.
Will Crossley, the Director of DNC voter protection, met with Pennsylvania delegates Wednesday morning.
"Well I think at this point its the law of the land unless something happens at the supreme court level in Pennsylvania.
He says he's been in touch with election officials in both Lehigh and Northampton Counties to reach as many voters as possible.
"I think we have to deal with it as it comes and do everything that we can to make sure that people have the proper identification," said Callahan.
Mayors are high on the priority list here at the DNC.?
