Tobago Dive Experience, renowned author/photographer Paul Humann and Blue Magazine Publisher Solomon Baksh invite scuba divers to join them July 3 ? 10, 2012 when they host a week of exciting scuba diving and marine education programs at Manta Lodge, Tobago.

Paul Humann, co-author with Ned DeLoach of ten marine life field guides including the popular Reef Set trilogy, Reef Fish Identification, Reef Creature Identification and Reef Coral Identification ? Florida, Caribbean, and Bahamas ? is a revered name among the scuba diving community. Pauls underwater photographs have appeared in a wide variety of publications including Skin Diver, Ocean Realm, Sport Diver, Rodales Scuba Diving, National Geographic, Audubon, Natural History, National Wildlife, and Ranger Rick. An ABC sports special featured Paul introducing famed Jaws author Peter Benchley to the marine life of Galapagos.

Pauls work established visual identification criteria for many marine animals. Many of his pictures were the first ever published of living species in their natural habitat. The specimens collected from his early work now reside in the Smithsonians National History collection. These efforts made it possible for underwater naturalists to make valid non-impact bio diversity assessments of reef ecosystems. His concern for the welfare of the marine environment led him to co-found with Ned DeLoach, the Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) in 1990.

During his stay at Manta Lodge, Paul will host a series of lectures on Caribbean marine invertebrate identification and behavior.

Solomon Baksh, Publisher/Photographer for Blue Magazine will co-host the week long event at Manta Lodge with Paul. Blue Magazine is the first magazine in the Caribbean that exclusively promotes the regions finest scuba diving destinations. Solomon?s photographs have appeared in several dive magazines including PADI Sport Diver, Dive, Diver and the PADI Undersea Journal as well as other publications and advertisements. He also authored a scuba diving guide on Trinidad and Tobago which was written for U.K. giant, Macmillan Publishers Ltd.

A PADI Master Instructor, Solomon has logged over 10,000 dives and trained students in every level of recreational scuba diving from Bubblemaker to Instructor candidate. He is certified to teach over fifteen PADI Specialty Diving Courses and is a member of the PADI Standards Review Committee. He is an Advanced Diver Medic Technician certified by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, USA and is also and Associate Member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, USA.

During the week long program, divers will have the option to enroll in two PADI Specialty Certifications taught by Solomon: Reef Fish Identification Specialty Certification or the PADI Underwater Photography Specialty Course.
